what a way to wake up on a lazy sunday morning!!!

Todd at 6 1/2 weeks

i cannot beleive how quickly time goes by in the life of an infant. Todd was born on Jan 30th & he is already outgrowing all of his newborn clothes...in fact - he's just about ready for 3-6mths sizes. WOW! Here are two pics of Todd about a week apart in the same papasan rockers....

work never seems to end

it's 10:03pm on a tuesday & i'm still sitting at my desk working (I guess i can log onto AmericanIdol.com to see how they did). Right now I'm uploading another file (which takes like 15 minutes to upload, so i'm basically stuck) & then i still gotta review. Someone remind me why i do this {{{{SIGH}}}}...oh yeah, bonus is right around the corner!!!

maddie is THREE!

i can't beleive another year has gone by & Maddie-Kakes is now THREE YEARS OLD!!!! Her party was this past Sunday at a cute jungle place on S.I. with pizza & beer (make that ROOT-BEER). Only thing was that it was the day after we set the clocks ahead, so I lost an hrs sleep (and i really needed it.....see the culture club pics from the night before!!!)

there is something just damn cute about a 3 year old wearing her underwear on her head. Now if I wear my underroos on my head, I just look stupid!

two words, "camo bathingsuit"...this kid is going to be stylin' this summer!

one of the best presents of the bunch - a digital camera...yes, it's a REAL digital camera (now I can't do anything about the fact that the photographer is under 3 feet so a lot of the pics come out looking a bit "rainman-y", but since it's digital, you dont have to worry about wasting film (just stock up with batteries from costco!)

So we start off our Saturday night at a cute little italian restaurant along Mulberry Street...

....and you just gotta finish the dinner off w/Tartuffo and a candle....and a cheesy b-day song just for Amaryah from the waiter:

then off we go to Culture Club....I CANT BELEIVE I'VE NEVER BEEN THERE...it really is like going back to the 80's (and no, the reunion was not enough 80's music for me)
gotta love a place that has a fog machine so thick that the pics even come out smokey!
dance off starts btwn Lorena -v- Amaryah (.....it's tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time....it's tricky...it's tricky....)

then I need to take DOOOOOWN the winner from round one (or at least push her over - LOL)

This past weekend Derek got to play one of the leads in his high school musical, "Thoroughly Modern Millie". The voices on these kids can match up against anyone right now on American Idol!!!! Derek played "the boss", Trevyor Graydon.....and I have to tell you it was really impressed when I heard how good his voice was. I had no idea - i mean I've heard him sing Skid Row and Rush a thousand times before while playing kickass guitar, but had no idea he could dance & sing, i mean really sing!!!

Todd - 4 weeks old

On Sunday I went to visit my nephew....he is now 27 days old!!!! Babies at that age dont do much...they eat, poop & if they are boy babies - aim at their mommy while she is changing him. Here is Todd after doing all of the above:

woodstock

On our trip last week, we visted the town of Woodstock. It's a realy cute little town with a bunch of hippie memorbilia & cafes. In one store there was a drippy candle that the owners started creating 6 years ago....it's pretty magnificant now.
The only sad thing is that a bunch of 17 y/o were in the store with me & were speculatiing what happened on the date that they listed "in memorial for". Those kids ignorance made me very sad!

Howe Caverns

I think as a kid, everyone who lives in the northeast has visted Howe Caverns...it's pretty cool to go back as an adult!

Randy & I in the "wedding chamber" - the lights have been strategically placed on the "bridal altar" to show off the beauty. I think since the caverns opened, there has been over 500 wedding in this location (including the daughter of Mr Howe)
Sometimes the path gets a bit squishy!They have placed a dormant Stalactite and stalagmite for all those who want to touch...like ME! The reason is cuz the salt/sweat from your fingertips would make the natural growth stop. This chamber has a "pipe organ".....it's really quite amazing!!

off we go! spent the last few days at a B&B in upstate NY (we were 2 minutes away from Windham Mtn & 20 minutes away from Hunter Mtn....and we visited both places!)

Here is us spending the first 2.5 hrs of our vacation:

thank goodness randy was driving...although it was mostly highway driving, the roads were very snowy {{BRRRRRRRR}}

...boy is it hard for me to sit in the passenger seat for very long! I can tell you I have seen this past week signs for: deer crossing, horse crossing, tractor crossing, kiddie crossing & even cow crossing!

we stopped along the way and visited a few places, including Saugerties, NY...we were prepared to see a pretty B&B, but this place blew us away!!!!

nothing beat a homey breakfast at a B&B!!!!

Here is us the next day taking out the snowmobile (no comment on how they MIGHT tip if you pull too hard on a turn)

craigslist

i cannot get over how easy i had it with selling my dining room table on craigslist!!! I waited until after my new table was delivered (last sunday) to finally getting around to posting it & the very first person who responded to my ad, stopped by today & bought it.
WOW!!!!
The best thing is that I've been on vacation for this past week, so they waited an entire week while I was away to come by to take a look at the set.
In less then 5 minutes I had cash in hand & the table/chairs in the back of the buyers truck.
SWEET!!!!

Todd's Bris

Yesterday afternoon, Todd had his BRIS. He was an amazing little man who only cried for a few minutes. Afterward, Neil announced to all that who his little boy was named after. "Todd" is for his dad, Ted. "Jacob" is for sherri's grandfather, Jack. Here are some pics from the event:

On Saturday, Feb 3rd it was time for Sherri & Neil to bundle Todd up & head to his new home (and fall asleep in his awesome carseat)

Once he wakes up, he's gonna LOVE his new home
... and his room - WOOOOWIE - it's awesome!
so Mr Elephant has volunteered to keep the car seat nice & warm while Todd is hanging out in his new room
